97 7.3 LIter injector Question

does anyone know the specifics on diagnosing a faulty injector for this particular truck. ever so slight vibration

97 F250 Heavy duty 4.11 Gearing and a 5 speed manual transmission

do you have a dual mass flywheel still if so that's more than likely your problem


otherwise a cylinder contribution test & buzz test are the diagnosis tests

injectors 7.3 liter

still have dmfw with 75000 miles. flywheel has 3/4 inch of movement. is this acceptable? i have heard that it is. what is needed to do a cylinder contribution test. thanks for the reply.

a good scanner will do a cyl con test and injector buzz test. it does sound like your duel massflywheel. when you push in the clutch does the vibration change? if you know anyone with a lab scope, the injectors can be scoped to find a bad one, even if they pass the contrubution test the scanners do.

hey man did you ever find out about your truck was it the clutch or injector problems? i am having the same problems with my 97. i think mine is injector problems
