I have gutted ebpv and the actuator arm hole leaked after i did it,so I had the pedistal welded over(pedistal mod) The mech. putting n my engine noticed it and said "with it this way something could put a hole in my piston and I will also be losing performance" Any truth to this I got to tell him something beore he'll put it back in Thanks Tate

I would find another mechanic to work on the truck as he has no idea what he is talking about.

Thanks I just hope he is a good partsswapper...I did the mod a while back and had sorta figured he was'nt right. He's seems to have done well up to this point. Thanks Tate ( I'm relatively new so I'm stupider than him but I don't ask for money)

Tell him I said that is just plain non-sense.

ON EDIT: he may haver been alluding to that the T444E in school busses have been known have pistons cracked by driving on cold mornings without any warm-up. Technically, by disabling the EBPV, warm up time is increased. Many School bus fleets have implemeted a mandatory 5-minute warm up time before driving to prevent the potential from cracking pistons.

Yeah I went to talk to him. He was cool he said he always called the epbv and actuator the wastegate.I think there were some other mechs kinda pushing him cause they didn't understand what I had done to my pedistal.I thought what i had done was cool but wanted to check. Thank You Tate
How much should I charge him?
