just got a 2002 7.3L and i have some questions

hey guys i just picked up a f-250 i traded in my hemi ram for a 7.3L powerstroke and was wondering what type of mods that are avalible for this diesel motor and what tyoe of matenice i should expect to be doing since the truck has 60000 miles on it
i was wondering what typ of chip i would be able to put on with out having to do a lot to the injecters i know i will be getting gages when i do this to monitor EGTS and stuff but what has proven not to do much damage to the engine??? i was running the SC on the hemi and l;oved the punch that it gave me, my strok is freekin torquey and i love it

There is about no limit to the mods on the 7.3. $$$ is what you need to decide. All the chip tuners have got it down to a science, DI, DP, TS, tony wildman, there all good. Intake, cheap = tymar, $$$ = AFE stage 2

Exhaust, cheap = BTM muffler $$$ = dual 4"

There are a lot of free mods, zoodad, CCV mod, in tank and pre pump mods, shimming the fuel pressure.

First thing should be guages, that will help you develope a base line.

01 F-250 SC PSD,210k,16 Isspro Gauges, AFE-2,CCV Mod,IAH delete,map reg,Modded H2e, 6.0 IC, GTS Hybrid injectors, Studs, 910 Valve springs, Forged rods Water injection,Swamps tuned, MBRP 4" dual's, Aero, 6" tip's, 100 axl tank, 4" Revtek lift, 37-14.50-17 TOYO MT's 469hp and 1068tq...

You bet they do, thats why you got a diesel, 15 mpg empty and 15 mpg towing 20,000lbs!!! I get about 15-20 mpg, big variance depending on how I'm driving and where! I like to hotrod it so it never see's less then the 125 setting... Start with a intake and exhaust combo, after guages of course!!! Give Jeremy at LIPD or Dennis at ITP Diesel. I have talked to both and are great vendors. (All the TDG vendors are!!!)

will do hey jermey i will have about 1200 dollers left over to do some performance mods, i know i will will need at least an EGT gauge and wnat a programer or downlaoder, also i do believe i have the stock exhaust so that will need to be swapped as well???? i really dont beliee in name products especially when you can get the same performance from another product so basicly name brands kinda dont matter but any package would be awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!
