Calling all 5speed guru's

Can anyone give me a hint to why i keep popping my slave cylinders???? I just had to put in a thrid one this year. My truck doesnt like to take off from lights in 1st w/ no clutch.. aand on a side note will it hurt it to shift w/ no clutch???

I wouldent shift with no clutch! you may damage the shift sinkrows. if you keep blowing slave cylinders, id say you have another issue. sounds like you have somthing binding, pressure plate-throwoutbearing-fork?? useally a slave cylinder will blow out when it cant press out any more or is pressed out passed its limits. how many miles does the clutch have on it?? a bent clutch fork can cause this, if its bent toward the front of the truck, the slave cylinder rod will botttom out in the housing shorting its life. if this helps :shrug:
