Need help

I broke my water seperator on my 96 Ford F-250 ps. The sending unit was leaking diesel so I tried to tighten it a bit and broke the threaded hole that the sending unit fits into. I have everything loose except there is a solid line coming off the bottom of the water seperator and runs up and under the fuel filter canister. The only way I can see getting to the line is by taking the fuel filter canister off but I 'm not sure how hard that is to do. Any help would be appreciated.

It would be way better to take the hole fuel canister out? its fairly easy unhook the electical connecthions the 2 fuel lines. look down on the right and left sides of the canister you will see a bolt one per side remove them, they will take a 13 mm socket, losen the hose clamp on the blue fuel line on the bottom hose and the blue hose on the right. wigel it a bit and it should come out?
