7.3 swap

well me and a buddy of mine and doug at direct injection just got done putting a 2003 7.3 into an 88 chevy 3500 it took about a week to get it in and running.

COOOOOL :Thumbup: what tranny did you use? did you make your own engine mounts? how hard was tieing the wire harness into the cab ? did you use the superduty fuel pump? did the chevy have a diesel in it before???

we used the ford tranny. and yes i custom built the motor mounts. as for the wiring it wasen't that bad because the truck is a mud truck and we are building our own dash and we are using all the ford stuff. yes we used the superduty fuel pump. yes the chevy had the 6.2 diesel in it. what we did is we bought a wecked superduty and took everything out of it

So, a GM truck is OK with you guys as long as it has a Ford motor, but you all think a guy is nuts if puts a GM engine in his Ford?
