Fuel module

I need to know if anyone knows where I can find a fuel recirculation module. This part will be going on a '96 Ford F-250 PS. The part sits on the right side of the fuel filter canister. It screws right into the fuel filter canister. I've called a ton of salvages and no one has one of these parts. I am also needing the vaccuum switch that ties into the side of the module. If anyone knows where I can get these parts at a reasonable price it would be greatly appreciated.

That's going to be a dealer only item. I don't know how much, but it will be expencive for sure.

Why do you need a new one? I think there nmight be a rebuild kit available for it.

If you have some time, you might want to contact someone who has replced there fuel system w/ an electric pump & an aeromotive regulator. They will probably sell you the old stuff for a lot cheaper than the dealer.

And most likely you won't find one in a junk yard.

that's going to be the fuel pressure regulator which is why many of the salvage yards claim they don't have it or they are trying to sell complete engines.

Yes. The FPR is differant for 95 and 96 as well. Most likely dealer only parts your looking for. Hope that 97 will work if yours is not resealable.

What exactly is wrong with your FPR? The housing can crack without much force, but I think some guys here have had success w/ a little JB weld.

Here is a part number that may get you started depending on your problem:

Fuel Pressure Regulator Screen Kit (Orifice Vent Kit) Includes screened plug, o-ring, check valve
(Ford) F6TZ-9150-AA Screen and o-ring kit
(Ford) F5TZ-9A214-A ??? KIT-VENT ASY -DUAL
(International) 1823658C91 (screen only, doesn’t fit the PSD!!!)

You may also want to check ebay...I have seen a few on there (some with fuel filter canister) included go for pretty cheap.

As far as that vacuum switch goes (i am assuming you are talking about the filter restriction sensor) They go for around $30-$35 if you find the right place.

Fuel Filter Restricted sensor; on filter housing 94/95; on regulator block 96/97
(Ford) E8TZ-9S283-A
(International) 1809435c1

Check out www.powerstrokeshop.com for good prices on OEM parts...They have beat the stealership price everytime I am looking for something. If you can't find the part by searching, email them through the contact link and ask. They have been great at getting back to me real fast (usually same day).

Good Luck!
Casey

The dealer wants $486. I am having to replace it because of my own stupidity. The vaccuum switch was leaking diesel pretty bad, so I took it off and put some teflon tape on it and then put it back on. I think I tried to get it too tight and snapped a piece of the threaded hole that the vaccuum switch fits into. So I got some JB weld and gooped it up real good, put it back on the pickup and thought it was going to work. I got about 3 miles from home and began to smell diesel and smoke was rolling out from under the hood and I opened the hood and diesel was spraying everywhere. I would like to find one of these at a salvage but 99% of them don't know what I am talking about. The one salvage that does know keeps messing around and still hasn't found one for me.

If you're talkign about the fuel restriction sensor, you don't need it. Clean up the JB and plug the hole w/ a 1/8" NPT pipe plug. Throw the switch in the trash and if it works, you can send me a donation for mods since you justy saved $485.

That 486 sounds steep. Are they trying to sell you the whole filter canister assembly, or just the FPR?

Sounds like its the whole shabang they are quoting him. If you can get that 1/8 plug to seat in there tight, thats what I would do...I'm going down to pick and pull tomorrow and there are usually a couple of PSD's around i'll keep my eyes out for ya and post results...if I find one I would be happy to grab it for ya at no cost...just shipping
