bad cps

does any one know what a bad cps causes the truck to do or if so run differently

They vary. I have had them send a signal to me as an engine burp occaisionly, and some just flat out quit and the engine dies. Sometimes it will restart and run a while, sometimes not. You can pretty much assume the CPS will last anywhere from 65-80K miles before going south. Carry a spare w/ you and a good 10mm socket. Warranty covers them, but also leaves you w/ a tow. Sometimes the bolts are very hard to remove, if you do it yourself use an impact socket, I have broken standard Snap-ons trying to remove them.
