Any year 7.3 PSD is a good year:
The '99 and '00 have forged rods wich some believe is a good thing. Depending on what mods you are gonna do, this may have some bearing.

My favorite 7.3's are the paid for ones!!

'00 cc f 350 a few mods, and a bts tranny.

Wet concrete, Hot Asphalt And Life Wait for no one

If you were sticking with the Superduty years...I would go with a 2000. They were still forged...rod wise...yet had the bigger turbo and hpop compared to the 99.

If you were looking for an OBS truck...look for a 97.

Well for the mods you have listed I'd go with a late '99 or newer. You aren't going to be getting anywhere near the breaking point on PMRs and you have the bigger injectors so that you can get more power out of a chip. a '94-'97 you won't get much more than about 200hp with just a chip and you start off with about that stock with a SD. If you want to start getting into bigger injectors and all then stay '00 or earlier to keep with forged rods.

'96 F-250 Extended Cab, GT'S injectors, GT'S intercooler install kit, custom turbo kit with a little HX40, Swamp's BIGEST oil.
