Stock tranny and performance parts for a 95 7.3

Im looking into getting a 95 Powerstroke and I was wondering what the stock transmission can hold for hp? What are some good parts for them, I was looking at stacks, stage 2 intake, tuner/chip, banks techni-cooler, banks turbo housing, banks transcommand and autometer gauges. I just need to know what will be good for this truck.

Definately a converter with billet cover, a shift kit. If you plan on adding higher flow injectors you will need more hardpart tranny upgrades. Don't forget downpipe and exhaust with the intake to lower EGT's. Save your $ forget the transcommand unless you buy an IDI diesel. Then you will need it to deal with a lower pressure/volume tranny pump. Transcommand filled a void in it's time. But companys tend to keep marketing their products even when the original problem is corrected. The fix happened in 1995 with a higher volume pump.

Alright sounds good, Im only 16 so I need to save a lot of money, so would it be alright to start out with exhaust, intake, tuner, cooler and turbo housing before I do the transmission work?

you should be ok with those mods and nothing added to trans. it would be better to add a shift kit. they are under $100.00 and will help you can to the converter later when funds permit you.

Yeah. If the build tag is on the tranny, verify it's a 95 up unit. They are mid strength on the evolution line and will handle the other upgrades you mentioned, but not bigger injectors. If your buying and should find out it has an 89-94 E4od just rebuilt or not, adjust your offer. Their weaker designs and would need some hard parts that aren't put in a regular rebuild.
