clicking under the hood??

there is aclicking noise coming from under the hood and it is coming from the silinoide under the black lid that holds my feul filter itsright next to itand it is clicking really bad for about 5 minutes every time i turn my key over does anyone have any ideas about that or know where i can get another one and if that will even fix the problem it happend right after i programed my truck

I would guess that would be the glow plug relay. It will cycle on and off till the computer tells it to stop, that the cylinders are up to temp.

'00 cc f 350 a few mods, and a bts tranny.

Shouldn't it stay closed untill it is not needed anymore ?

well it will do it even when the truck is warmed up if i shut it off and turn it back on it will do it for the sameammount of time i might just have to look into a new glow plug relay...

there could be a faulty gp controller, i would get it check out before it burns up ur glow plugs from cycling to long and to many times
