Fuel In Oil + Massive Hydrolock = ???? Help!

Ok guys, friends truck just died. We were riding through town and pulled in the parking lot here at work and the truck started to miss. I was driving it playing with the settings on his chip. So we circled the parking lot a few more times and the missing stopped.

Well, he goes to get some diesel additive in case it was just water in the fuel, etc. Turns the truck off, comes back out to start and, CLUNK!

He checked the oil and he says it smells like pure diesel fuel. I already asked and there is NO fuel in the coolant, only in the oil. Otherwise I would think Injector Cups.

What would this be? Injector O-rings? He installed brand new Alliants about 30,000mi ago. I guess he could have torn one on install and it has gotten worse and worse.

Also, will these injectors be good if I just put a new O-rings set on them? I'm thinking about trading him because I want a set to mod for my truck with diy injectors. I know the injectors are barely used, but this has me a little worried. Could they be damaged if this is a bad O-ring.

Thanks for any and all helps guys!

Going to have to pull the Glow plugs and then try to turn it over... With the valve cover wire harness unplugged!!! Then try to get a Cylinder C test... I would guess something around those lines...

Ah, I see what you mean, CC test to "find" which one is the problem. That would be nice if any of us had Auto E, we don't though.

Him and I are gonna trade injectors anyway, as long as his will be ok with a new set of O-rings when I do a DIY rebuild.

Thanks firehunter. That's what I think we'll do. Then we can closely inspect that injector for damage before reinstall. We're pulling them all anyway and if they're not hurt. Modding them and putting them in my truck, then he gets mine.
More fuel for both of us... Yay!
