Injectors, turbo, Fuel system. You will probably want to swap out your HPOP since you have a 99.

Other things that can make the truck more efficent like a upgraded intercooler that will give you lower intake temps, and lower back pressure.

The cheapest way to 400 would be w/ Stg II injectors, swaping to single shoots so the HPOP can keep up, or Hybrids. If you wanted room to grow you could get some big oil 1st, and that will give you room to grow into any injector you would want to run. Give me a call if you want to talk about possible setups.

Get a set of 250 cc hybrids, stick em in the truck get a chip to run them and you will be over 400 a smidge. Don't need an upgraded hpop, don't need a different turbo, don't need a fuel system, don't need headstuds, don't need big intercooler.

YEH right.

I was suprised at how easy it was to get to 350.400 required more money and more time and more money more time.It has gotten easier if you do it right the 1st time.I would go with TW recomendation but you will sooner or latter need a turbo.

My X only hit 312hp and 567 tq with the mods below. But I can only hit 20 psi of boost, can't seem to find my boost leak. Also, that was on B20

I'LL TRY TO KEEP UP, BUT THE EXCURSION IS A BIG GIRL AND BIG GIRLS DON'T LIKE TO MOVE FAST.

It can be done on stock injectors with big oil, or stock oil (a late model HPOP) and hybrids. Either way, your going to need a turbo to keep the EGT's down (although big oil does a better job) I'd go with the TN drop-in from Black Widow (I believe he has them to fit both early and late '99). After that, exhaust and a chip and you're good to go!

Oh yea, GET GAUGES!!!

If you get big oil first, you'll have a lot more options later (when the urge hits you, and it will)

I believe 'TheHammer69' over on the other site did it, but I could be wrong.

EDIT: My bad, he hit 341/681, sorry my memory is fuzzy

It can be done with big oil and AC singles though (which aren't much bigger than stock)

I don't think 400 has ever actually been done with stock injectors. Not without some propane anyway. People have come pretty close, and with the tuner there to tweak it on the dyno then maybe it could be done? Once anyway.

Once you start modifying things the reliability goes down, it's just the way it works.
