P1211 Code and hard start

Since replacing all my lost oil from yesterday, I have gotten the truck started and running. It took a couple of rounds of cranking to get the oil going but it eventually fire off.

I went to Autozone to get the codes cleared and it threw a P1211 code and was all. But since refilling the oil, everytime I go to start the truck it cranks over about 2 seconds longer than it used to, and then it kind of stumbles for a half-second and then fire up and runs fine. It used to crank for a second or two and then fire right up.

Could the HPOP still be low on oil from running it dry? Or can you have trapped air in the system cause an injector not to fire right away?

Yes to both questions.

After HPOP replacement, or running it out of oil, it takes AT LEAST 30 miles of DRIVING to purge all the air out of the system. Many times, if full power is not used (like highway driving), it may take significantly longer to purge all the air from the ICP system.
