Low $ Mods w/out EGT Temp Increase

I had trouble with my 95 PSD last month and you guys helped me out.I've been on this website just about every nite since learning all I can about my truck.Correct me if I'm wrong, but can I remove the cat and muffler without changing the EGT's,will that increase hp and tourqe enough to make it worth it?Will it increase wear and tear on the truck? Also have read about mods on the FPR,more fuel, more fire?I know you guys have been where I'm at and you know I'm thankful for the help. Deleting the cat and muffler will actually lower egt's This is good for it. You could do a DIY tymar intake for less than 40 bucks that should get you breathing freely. I don't think you will notice anything if you shim the fpr but its cheap so give it hell. Your next mod should be gauges so you can start adding some power!

Like I said, new to the site so forgive the ignorance,I know what DIY means but what is a tymar intake. Also, since my truck has 215k on it without mods should I leave it alone to make it last longer or mod it and take a chance? The only towing I do is a V-8 Stock race car on a open trailer. Yankee Rebel
