My first oil change...?

2000 7.3l Book says 15qts. 14qts puts it at the full line.
I did change the filter of course.
Is the rest held in the oil pump? Do I need to add another qt?

I should have said it was 14 qts. to the full line after running it and filling the filter. The reason I want to make sure is, I bought a '92 F150 with a 302 brand new. Did all my own oil changes. 5qts to get it to the full line after running it. Then found out it was supposed to have 6 qts with filter change which put it way above the full line (again after running it). I had to make a new mark on the dipstick to keep it properly filled. I'm not sure if they didn't put in the right dipstick or possibly the dipstick tube.
Just don't want the same mistake with this truck and run it a quart low.
