ready for chip and guages

hey guys. i know i havent posted in a while but i finnally installed my tymar intake and my 3" dp w/ cat delete that i ordered from our vendors here on the site. i am very happy with how fast i got my items and how easy they were to install. i can now tell that my truck is breathing much better and i feel it is time for a chip and some guages. i have been searching a while for a good chip for my truck, but i honestly dont know what to get. i have been told a 40 horse chip would work well, if so what brand of chip should i get and how much money would i roughly be spending? i also noticed that most of the chips are multi position and i am only looking for a singal position that i can just plug in and be done with it. any help and input would be much apreciated thanks,
Dan

Sounds like your on the right track! Nice looking truck BTW!
I had a superchips chip in my 96 that was burned at 80 or 85 horse when I sold it. I loved it! The truck ran very strong, and the driveability was great. Never had any problems. I started out with the 40 horse burn and didn't notice a lot of difference. From what I remember (Kinda foggy in hear), the 40horse ran the engine hotter (If that makes any sense:shrug: )
As for gauges, I run with Isspro and like them. I'm sure the vendors here have a bunch of brands to choose from, and you will get more opinions soon.

Elite Diesel is very good no doubt. But for your OBS look into a Wildman Chip. Total Diesel Performance. He seems to rule the OBS trucks.
