OBS intake boot

I found this on ebay the other day.

A little cheaper than the ford change over but what are the opinions of you guys that have bought the update? I haven't seen what you get with the update. Is there much difference?

I would like to see some numbers before buying it. We have not dealt with any of these but I sure someone will come by soon that has.

If it is a quality material just buy that one. I bought the update and it comes with all newer connector tube and bracket. The boot is longer and the connector tube is now replaced with a plastic one instead of the factory aluminum one, therefore you have to use a newer bracket that bolts to the valve cover to hold it all together. I ended up not even using the bracket because it was becoming a PITA to get it all lined up and it didnt come with any instructions to tell you exactly what to do. My AFE intake is sturdy enough to hold it anyway with out that freakin bracket. Also, if you have done the CCV mod, you will have to re-do it cause the new plastic connector has a hose barb on the bottom side instead of the removeable barb like the aluminum stock piece has.....they really should fire the engineer that redesigned a perfectly fine setup.....: Is it that hard to make a boot just like the one's that were used from the factory????...

I put a new turbo on and my stock boot was ripped, so I HAD to get one. As far as performance gains, it wasnt updated for that reason I dont believe. I have no idea why they had to change it. The kit my cost was 115 bucks I believe...to anwser your question, If I was to find what racehauler found on EBay I would have bought that one.
