Glow Pulg Light Staying On

It has only done it 2 times, ill start the truck up and start driving down the road then notice that the glow plug light is still on, so I stop and shut the truck off and restart and it goes out? Is it the relay sticking? Has anyone had this happen to them, or know what it is?

The best way to know what could be going on is hooking up a code reader to your truck and see if there was a code stored in the PCM.

The glow plug light is not controlled by the glow plug relay. There is a timer that is set for it to go out after a specified time. Depending upon which code your truck is. Jody can actually change that time and set it up in the programming of a chip for the glow plug light to only stay one for 1 second or any length of time.

Is your truck a California coded truck or regular 48 states truck?

Fill out you signature and list your truck information and the modifications you have done so we can better assist the issue. :thanks:

There aren't any codes in the truck, so I guess ill just leave it alone since the truck runs great and it hasn't done it in a while, as long as it keeps doing this:smoke is all good!

2002 7.3L Stealth stage 1 pump, DP Tuner F5 with 80tow, 120race, and 140gobabygo, HP Crossover line, 91mm gillet turbo, bd shift kit, ATS 5star tourq converter for over kill and future plans, 4" downpipe to 5" exhaust to 6" stacks, and no mercy
