Truck shut off running down highway!! Need Help

Have an 02' E450 box van with 7.3 powerstroke only 55,000 miles. Running down highway today when all of a sudden the interior dash lights dimmed out to nothing then the truck shut off....rolled to a stop on the side of the road. I turned the ignition back to off position then turned it back on ...lights were again bright. wait to start light came on, volt gauge looked ok...etc...proceeded to crank...and "click" ...nothing. 20 minutes go by...I decided to flip the key back on to see what volt gauge read ....wait to start light & other gauge cluster lights...etc again are bright....proceeded to start...fired right up!. Got back onto highway....15 miles later....dash lights etc...dimmed....truck shut off again! I do have an Edge Juice / Attitude deal which is the only aftermarket part on vehicle if that throws up any red flags...

Batteries in truck are brand new. I don't know....obviously seems to be bad connection or bad sensor etc.????

Any help would be great!

For what its worth, I just signed up for this site today. I am a big Ford owner of many classic cars, fox body mustangs, and other powerstroke trucks. I look forward to participating on this site.

Thank you
John

Welcome to the forum!

Sounds like a major short?? Battery cable or some part of the heavy 12v supply wires, probably something unfused. The alternator (if it’s good) will carry the load without good batteries once it’s started. Loose battery terminals maybe?
