New fuel pump....questions

installed a new mech. fuel pump yesterday because i was having a problem with my Fp droping off idle....

new pump in and Fp is now steady but its seems low....

im getting 48 at idle 50 at cuise and 48 at full go pedal.....

shouldnt it be up in the high 50s?

is there a way to shim the regulator in the OBS trucks?

thanks guys
~Tim

You can install a bb in the FPR. I don't recall the exact way to do this. There is a excellent wright up on Steve Baze's web page. Someone will probly be along shortly to help you out.

'00 cc f 350 a few mods, and a bts tranny.

On the OBS you can change the regulator spring or shim it. We ran ours up to 70 psi ..

As you are looking down a the filter it’s under the large brass nut on the right (drivers) side.

Ford spring kit part # is: F6TZ-9K061-AA

Place a rag under the FPR to make sure you don't lose any parts in the valley.
