Coolant Pressurized.

A kid in one of my classes has an 01 stroke. He is having a problem though. I told him it was prolly a head gasket. His reservoir tank is spraying coolant. He has not more heat. And I believe he has antifreeze in his oil. He was on a light hill, when I looked at it, but it showed about 2 quarts high. Oil had a green tint to it, but did not really smell like antifreeze. Do you all think it's the head gaskets? On a 7.3 do you have to pull the motor to swap the head gaskets? Thanks Kyle

Cool

First, You Don't Have To Pull The Motor To Change Heads Or Gaskets. Keep It In The Back Of Your Mind That The Injector Sleaves Can Leak And Allow Fuel In To Your Coolant Passage. Has The Truck Ever Been Overheated??

It is spraying pretty bad. Passenger side battery and all that is covered. It only sprays under load. Not at idle, not just revving it up. You have to be driving the truck. I don't know the truck, don't know if it has been over heated or not. I have only talked to the kid a few times. He knew I was into Strokers cause of my hat.

Joe with the water in oil I am guessing so. Not 100percent sure though. Pulled the dipstick, it was over full. It was on a hill parked with the passenger side down hill. Oil looked like it had a green tint to it, not the normal honey color. Texture of the oil seemed to be ok, or normal.

If you let the truck set overnight and slowly loosen the drain pug on the oil pan you should be able to get some antifreeze out before the oil if it has water in the oil. if the injector cups are allowing fuel in th coolent you should be able to see it in there, you may have to drain it out to know for sure.
