Angry Help

on my 01 7.3 when im going down the road and let off the accelerator a little bit, it makes a weird grinding sound . it only makes the noise then , i have not noticed it at any other time. if anyone knows about it please help.Thanks for looking.

U joints? Or front hubs... Are your hubs locked?

can you tell if its comming frome the front or back of the truck? it could be a bearing going out of the rearend or transmission you might check the oils and see if you can find any metal.

It also may be a cracked flywheel or loose torque converter.

'00 cc f 350 a few mods, and a bts tranny.

A friend of mine was doing the same thing. his is a 4wd. i check it out and find out the bearings in the front hubs were bad on the left side. if yours is 4wd u can grab a hold of the axle shaft between the axle tube and the hub. if u can move it that aint good.
