Turbo install

Well, tonight we started the Turbo swap, from my stocker to the Garrett BB. Everything has gone smooth so far, until i found out that my Y pipe coming off of the up pipes is cracked, so now i have to buy that. Had already bought the exhaust donuts for the up pipes. As we were taking the bolts out of the up pipes, we found out they were bent and stripped, was planning on buying new bolts in the first place. Looking forward to finishing in the morning and then doing the intercooler swap to a 6.0L intercooler. Cant wait to get this thing on the road. I definitely had an exhaust leak at the up pipes gaskets, so that should go away with these new parts. It has been a fun job until we were taking those exhaust biolts out, what a pain in the arse. Will let you all know how things turn out tomorrow night.

Turbo install and Intercooler swap is complete! All i can say is WOW!!! I am so glad i did this upgrade!! The intercooler was a piece of cake, easier than expected. I did have to change out my drivers side intercooler boot, had a hard time finding one, but did find one at the international dealer, was a little shorter than the Bob Riley boot i had on there, but enough length to tighten it down. I ended up having to replace my Y Pipe, it was cracked across the threads, so it wouldnt have tightened down properly. I took it for a test drive after i was done and with me living at 6000 ft here iN Cheyenne Wyoming, i had NO TURBO SURGE at all!! Man that is nice not to hear. I was a little worried because i hear about guys having turbo surge even after the upgrade, but i am pleased now. If anyone ever does this upgrade, make sure you buy some PB Blaster and spray all bolts down, it makes the job easier.
