Egt?

How much of a temp. difference would there be if the probe was mounted 6"- 8" after the driver side manifold?

Reason I ask, didn't wanna drill my manifold on the truck so I placed the probe into the pipe that connects to the manifold itself (dunno the actual name of that pipe though). Thanks guyz!

Not much if any from what I have read, CSIPSD has two on his truck, I think that is what I read, and he said their is not any difference. Mine is in the up-pipe right near the bend and I get a good reading, it is about 4" from the manifold collector.

Right on! Mine is a few inches upstream from yours.

The farther up the pipe the lower the EGT's will be... How much differant I dont know but If your that much above the one shown I would use 1200-1250 as your red line. My up pipe pyro is about 1" from the manifold...
