Injectors

What is the advantage of changing your split-shot injectors to single-shots??

Not exactly sure yet, but I'll know whenever I get time to put these newly converted stage 1 single-shot injectors sitting on my table back in my truck

You will not run out of HPO with single shot as quick... Splits take a lot more HPO to fire then singles...

Chels (my better half) is going with 250cc splits and that means Dual Hpop's... if she went with 250cc singles... might be ok without duals.

No, no more or less... Its all in the CC's of fuel... But single shots are easier to make BIG power out of, splits are more street frendly...

Chelsea is going with 250cc splits because its her daily driver/take the kids to school... But that means Dual HPOP's...

No.

For a given volume of oil a single shot will inject more fuel than a split shot. This is because there is no "split", so no interruption in the injection of fuel. Regardless of split or single I don't think you can take full advantage of 250cc non-hybrid injectors without more HPO. Either one will run, and the single will get a little more fuel out, but you aren't going to get all you can with them. BDs only flow 250cc.

Splits make less power then singles. cause there is less fuel to inject. the split shot plunger has little holes in it and the a releaf cut when the releaf cut is lined up with the bypass hole inthe barrel fuel is not injected it is returned. then as the plunger travels further down the fuel is injected. a 160 cc stage 1 will use the same amount of oil as a stock AB/AD (tiny difference)coded injector. the only difference is the amount oof fuel injected the cause the stage 1 (AKA AC coded) is a single shot. The split and single hybrids use the same amount of oil as they use the same intensifier piston (at least in my injectors) the plunger and barrels are different one has the bypass one does not. so you get more power out of a single cause you have more fuel. I also feel that you get a more when you dont strat and stop the injection process so you get a more complete burn and more power for you CC of fuel injected.

Joe, as for them making a nice daily drive they sucked and when i mean sucked they ate the fuel and due to the lost injection pressure when you go hybrid (i assume) you get chit fuel mileage. they where smokey and not al they are cracked up to be for power. i woudl go with 160 singles with nozzels and dual oil. you will egt a better more user freindly power
