Wow what an attitude!

ATS, BTS, Suncoast, John Wood all build good trannies I'm sure people have had problems with all of them also. So pick the one you like best and go with it.

I presume he wouldn't have asked for opinions on a public forum if he was afraid of recieving them.

You mention several reputable builders mixed in with ATS. You speak truth that they "all have had their problems". The difference is, at least I can attest of BTS, is that you will be taken care of if you do have a problem.

ATS, eh, not so sure they would come through for you.

It's certainly your choice on which you choose, just make sure you don't get sold a bill of goods that the company won't honor anyway.

With BTS, that won't happen, with a reputable Sunocoast dealer such as black widow diesel, that won't happen.

My 99 ran an ATS. I put 150,000 hard miles on it. I did break an input shaft and spline an output shaft, but other than that it held up to my abuse.

As said above there are many good builders out there, and all of them even Brian at BTS has had an issue or so, heck they are mechanical pieces built buy humans and some of us Rod the heck out of them. That being said I would not shy away from a BTS, Suncoast, ATS, MB, JW, Dave's, any of them......Call them all and see what your feelings are. It is an expensive part of your build and worth the call to all of them to feel'em out......
