Stopped running in traffic.

I went inside a store, came out, and the truck wouldnt start. it was about 60 degrees and the engine was hot. i cranked it over a few times in a row. nothing happened. i did notice tho: it had oil pressure as i turned it over, the rpms were going up and down, like they are supposed to, and i had fuel. then i let it sit a min and it started. a few miles down the road it stalled at a stop sign. i went through the same process. when i got it home i changed the fuel filter and cleaned all that out. as i was about to test drive it, i took off the emergency brake(while running), and it started to stall, but stopped. i applied and released the brake a few more times to verify it was constantly doing that. so i took out the ecu, and resecured it. i was holding it in half *** with zip ties instead of bolts, so i put bolts back in and cut some plastic so my big hoss would fit better. after everything was back in, i tested the e-brake, and the truck did not stall. could a loose ecu cause this problem? or how about if my big hoss was not making good connections? i ran it for a while tonight, starting stopping, etc. it hasnt stalled once. knock on wood. ;-) think i fixed it?

sorry this is so long.

Could very well be a loose connection with the chip. Make sure it's in good and getting good contact and maybe even tape it in.

If you tape it in, use clear shipping tape. Best thing out there for this application!

i put my banks big hoss back in the truck. and it wouldnt start again. but as soon as i pulled it out. she fired right up. i am thinking that i did not clean the pcm port good enough, so conductors are making contact and some arent, or my big hoss is just f****d up.

Big hoss is probably junk. You just might have to get a new chip(the only upside is that the supporting vendors blow banks away as far as performance!) Does it throw any codes with the banks stuff on it?
