intake question

Alright I'm asking for a friend of mine who just got a 2000 excursion w/ 7.3. Anyway it has exhaust, bully dog chip and K&N open filter. When I seen the truck I told him to get rid of the K&N and bullydog chip and get a AFE and SCT tune. anyone else know of any other good intake setups.

There is nothing wrong with the K+N intake kits. Just there drop in's. Dont waste the cash for a new intake... If your that worried about it get a AFE replacement filter and install it in the K+N system.


Have him get a SCT or Chip from Tadd at Elite Diesel or Jody at DP Tuner... Two of the best.

I love my AFE stage 2 and my DP Tuner chip, but everyone has their own point of view, it just depends what your looking for.
