Water/Meth question

I finally got my Stage 2 kit installed. Looking at the intercooler tube, it looks like nozzles are leaking a little ...there were a couple drops of water on the tube after my test drive. Did anyone else have problems getting the tap to seal up? I used plenty of teflon tape on the nozzles when I threaded them in.

Teflon tape sucks! It may have backed off the threads as you tightened it up causing a very small leak. Try liquid teflon, stuff works wonders.

You tapped your IC pipes? I installed my injectors in the Y pipe, a bit more meat there...

teflon tape is fine as long as it was wrapped tightly, enough used, and in the same direction as you tighten the fitting. if you wrapped it the other direction of the threads, then it probably came off.

i use it on eveything and it has worked wonders; holding 145 and better psi on the air system.

Yeah, I was going by their directions. The pipe is way too soft tho, I'm worried about "stretching" the hole by repeatedly removing and reinstalling the nozzles.

Something still isn't working right tho. As said, I'm getting fluid to the nozzles, but I'm feeling nothing. At lunch time, I even configured the controller so the pump goes full on at 10 psi and felt nothing ...it should have at least quenched at that point. My guess is the nozzles aren't spraying, so I'm going to remove the pipe with the nozzels installed and put power directly to the pump to verify.

Not sure if it makes a difference anymore, but is your water tank higher than your pump????

The tank is a little higher. It's a flat container (about 4 inches deep) laying in the bed under my tool box ...pump is under the rear seat.

I unhooked my injectors once and fed the water line up by the Windsheild, got a wash when it was on to check...

With water, sorry to say you will not "feel" a thing. Just notice your EGT's will slow and then drop slowly. No matter what "Snows" tells you, there is no HP gain with water, at 40% water meth I see (everytime) 40-50hp gain on the dyno.

I've got just enough wwf in it now that the water has a blue tinge. What's in the tank is a gallon of water and 1/2 gallon of wwf, so the meth percentage is very low. My tubing from the pump to the injectors is clear, so I can see the fluid that far. I'm not expecting big power, but i would have guess that full on at 10 psi would have quenched my engine ...especially using two nozzles, a 375 and 625.

I still think I'm going to pull the tube, put power to the pump, and watch the nozzles ...just to make sure they're working properly.

they all say that, but I have mine set to come on first stage at 8psi and full on at 13 and no issues... One thing I did add is a pair of LED's to the A-pillar pod, green when the system is on and orange when its spraying...
