What about just swapping yours out for a 6.0 trans cooler? Anyone done this yet? I remember reading(not sure where) it fits the same mounting tabs, and uses WAY more tubes tool cool, no real test numbers though.

I found it, diesel power magazine, August 07 page170. They say the 6o flows up to 186% more fluid and uses 25 rows as opposed to the 9 rows the 7.3 unit uses. Both use the same mounting locations.

My tranny guy say he always shys away from transcoolers in the radiator anyways seeing as if any fluid transfers from the radiator your screwed. He is a major proponent of stacked plate transcoolers over tube and fin aswell !!!

i bought an 89 dollar B&M transcooler from jegs. i love it, i plumbed it after the stocker, and mounted it right behind the grill. looks good painted green too.

i never see trans temps over 140 degrees. even when towing, never went over that temp.
