I'll be very interested to see what you discover.

I have one sitting in the garage waiting on the $$ to use it in a Big Oil system.

I would like to know if you see that 20-30 hp increase.

I put one in my truck from an '00 and didn't notice any real difference in power. It's debateable weather it actually is a 17° though. It has a flat back which according to my sources, unless it's been rebuilt, is a 15°. Let us know how it goes.

IS it true that if the pump has a flat back it's a 15, but what if you buy a brand new one from Ford for a 2003 and it comes with a flat back but it is a reman. Does that mean it is still a 15 or does it mean that it was converted to a 17. thanks andy

the pump is in and i just got back from taking it for a beat run, wow does it run better, icp never gets below 2000psi even on my max power program from elite, truck definitly has more power then before, cant wait to take her to the drags to see what i gained. i still cant figure out why my truck sounds like a 6.0 but i definitly like it lol.

You would think someone with Geoff's diesel prowess would know to look up a part # to determine the difference :

I think your old one was probably not in great shape from the factory or was just worn out.

My 15* pump pulls pretty hard up until around 26-2800rpm and then the system just drains it.

the thing with my truck is someone replaced the injectors in it and they didnt put ABs back in they put ADs in it, so i had the small hpop and the big injectors which taxed the 15* pump even worse then most early 99s. i couldnt even run my max power program before, the ICP would drop to 1000 and it was just gutless, now i see 2000-2100 and it performs great, its still noticable theres a lack of ICP but this pump was free and was definitly worth the time to put it in, im happy. ill have to get around to rebuilding my front driveshaft and putting that back in so i can go to the track and get some hard numbers.
