Need some info!

I just installed an electric fan on my 97 f250 and I am wondering if there is a keyed power source I can tie into that wont damage anything. If not is there one under the dash that i can use? Thanks:HITFAN:

I would run the power sourse straight off the battery. Or actually I like to tie into it at the solenoid on the fenderwell as to keep the battery terminals clean from having a ton of wires off them. Run it thorugh a relay then get your key on power switched from under the dash. Or just run power to the hot switch side of the relay and rn the ground to a thermo switch on the radiator so that it only comes on when it gets hot. Most any key hot fuse under the dash should work to pull power from. Just make sure it's a true key on hot and doesn't also shut off or come on with something else.
