Advice on '97 F350

Hey everyone, new to the Forum. Looking at getting a '97 F350 PSD, auto tranny 4x4, crew cab. Has a 6 inch Pro Comp lift, triple shocks on the front. 35" BFG All-Terrains. Has a little over 200,000 miles. Guy that owns it now says the the over drive light keeps flashing, so he wen t ahead and bought another tranny with less than 3,000 miles on it. He never had it installed, its in the bed of the truck. It also comes with a set of brand new 36" mud tires. One dent on the rear passenger side of the bed (right by the 4x4 graphic). Interior is clean. Water pump and all the pully's are tight. Really only needs a cab mount on the rear drivers side. It's been sitting a couple of months and has a little rust on the frame, but it appears to be only on the surface, it all rubs off. Guy is asking $7,000. Just want some advice or suggestions that anyone might have. My friend is a certified powerstroke mechanic and he's the one that told me about it, so if there's any mechanical problems i got the hook up  Thanks in advance!

Here are some pics:

Cool rig.. theres another thread i saw the other day about a blinking OD light.. https://www.thedieselgarage.com/forum...er+drive+light might be slightly helpfull, not sure how hard of a life that tranny has had.. but a good rebuilt one with some upgrades would be a nice start..

id say its a good deal, has a ranchhand front bumper too. and it comes with a spare tranny, thats a plus. my truck had the blinking OD light and needed the tranny replaced. but overall these trucks are workhorses and very reliable
