Are you having issues now? I remember running a GPR and GP test on it this summer...

Plug it in if you can, that will help. Cycle the key a few times before you crank in the AM...

Might try a new GPR from NAPA for $30... GPR-109 is the part... But I doubt its the problem... Might have a weak Glow plug or two...

If you are not already running a synthetic oil ya might consider it. I run the 5-40 Rotella and she spins a bit easier in the morning.

If the GP have some time on them you most likely have one or more bad ones. You can ohm them.

How often do GPs on a PowerStroke go bad? Almost never. I have replaced exactly 3 since they came out in '94, and two of those tried to sink 115V when the injector harness shorted out to them = POOF!

What typically happens is that the UVC connectors and/or terminals get toasty, do not make good contact any more, and the GPs do not get up to full temp because there is high resistance in the UVC harness connectors.

The END terminals of the UVC connector are for the GPs, you can use a test light connected to BATTERY POWER and touch each of the outermost terminals on the UVC connectors (2 on each connector), and if the test light lights well (just like you stuck it to ground) then that GP and wiring from the terminal to the GP are OK.
