How loud is it?

I was thinking of putting a stack in my 96 f-350. i was thinking of going with a single stack on the passenger side, and i was wondering how loud is it? my buddy told me that it would be so loud that you won't be able to hear yourself think. by loud i mean in the cab.

RIP.......

no, itll be enjoyable, but not too loud. the drone might be a problem if u have a sliding window that u keep open, but in the cab of my brother's cummins w/ dual 5in aussies its quieter than a straight pipe w/ cat.

with my friends 12v cummins he is running 2 5" stacks and its not overly loud, i mean you have to put the windows up if you get a call or something but other than its not bad and it sounds awesome, right now im running a 6" out the side infront of the rear tire and its alot louder than any other diesel in my town, but im going to be buying the 5" outta that cummins to put in it anyway. I hope its loud.. when i get outta the truck i want to be able to hear the sound of the turbo spooling is the back of my head for the rest of the day.

I have a single 6 inch on mine, passenger side on a supercab, about four inches above roofline to match my headache rack. If the windows are down it's LOUD but not terrible, louder if I open the rear flip-out windows. It does get annoying on a 500 mile trip cause you have to keep the radio lound, then can't really talk very easily. BUT, I LOVE IT!!! gonna do dynamat eventually.
