loss of power?

my 7.3psd runs like craplaugh
at the moment its stock
it starts just fine ,idles smoothly and drives well under normal conditions
but if i stomp the gas pedal its doent rev freely it hesitates ,and sounds like
its starving for fuel and misses over 2500rpm
i have changed the fuel filter 3 times
i have also used diesel conditioner
could my problem be the fuel pickup in the gas tank?
i need advise please:thanks:

I would guess the fuel pump... Check your fuel pressure at idle and at WOT. Could also be a UVC gasket...

UVC is Under Valve Cover gasket, how the wires for the injectors get under the valve cover.

WOT is Wide Open Throttle

Could be an IDM... Or injecotor... Like joe said check fuel pressure.. It should be up arround 55+

Pull the valve cover and check the inner connector... Some times they get burnt and it makes it run like poop

I know the one truck at our shop has issues with #8 injector..

studder and loose fuel at WOT... If the filter was clogged/ dirty he "probaly" would have mentioned " black smoke" loss of MPG.. ...

He did the right thing by taking the cheap things out of the way 1st...
