Lucas stsntard in 7.3PS

I just did an oil change on my 1998 7.3 Power Stroke Ford, 203,000.
A friend of mine recommend 25% Lucas oil stabilizer.

I added 25% Lucas and THAN read the back "Lucas Synthetic stabilizer recommended for Ford Power Stroke engines"

Should I drain the new oil with the standard Lucas stabilizer and replace it with lucas synth ?

Hi DK!
Yes, it's a E350 1998 7.3L PS Box truck
Says it on the snorkel.
Says it on the manuals.

Yeah thats a 98 then. The reason he asked is there were no 98 superduties or OBS trucks

I would just leave it alone. The recommendation on the lucas bottle calls for a 20% mix of lucas, i don't think i'd run more than that. The syn calls for 1 quart for every oil fill, so it's a lot less than 20%. I've heard that the lucas has a tendency to foam in some high performance (high RPM) situations. I'm running 20% lucas right now and not having any problems, you're fine.

i started running a bottle of lucas syn oil stabilizer with an oil change a few oil changes ago and noticed a decrease in engine noise

I also run lucas in my race engines, per recommendation by my motor builder.

I'm sold, its good stuff
