Towing Injectors

What do you guys think the biggest or should I say best injector is that I could tow with? I am gonna build the motor so I will have dual pumps, either a D66 or convert everything to run a TN bb, and hopefully a regulated fuel return.

I tow about 16-18,000#'s regularly with the mods in sig except I will be switching to an AFE stg. II.

If you are going to build the engine and install dual pumps just get some BD injectors. the towability is all in the tuneing.

If you are going to go through all that trouble to build the engine like you say then why put a little turbo back on it like a D66. Put something on it that's going to hold up and make some power. The TNBB would be a BARE MINIMUM. I'd probably even look at something bigger than that. Maybe a GT42R. Should spool quick and will deliver enough air to keep EGTs in check.

'96 F-250 Extended Cab, GT'S injectors, GT'S intercooler install kit, custom turbo kit with a little HX40, Swamp's BIGEST oil.

When you say BD, that must be what I know as "B-codes", right?

I dont know much of anything about the GT42R but I bet it is out of my budget of $1800(thats for the turbo itself only) so could you tell me alittle bit about it?

I was kinda thinking of 230-250cc injectors with the TNBB would keep things cool. well thats with the right tuning from Jody.

you're going to need some custom tunes for the new injectors anyway, so id say go with single shot injectors and tell whoever does your chip that you need single shot tuning.

1997 F-350. 7.3l PSD. zf5. 4.10 l/s. 4x4. Single cab/8ft bed. SRW. Boost/pyro. 4" straight stacks w/ raincaps. 160cc injectors. D66 turbo. T Wildman chip. FPR shim. 6637 filter. 130,000mi.

ORDERED: BDP 140v IDM

NEXT: 230cc inj, head studs, IC, clutch, N20.

The TN BB would be at the ragged end of its map with that much fuel, I am running about 230cc on mine. But with a 1.15 housing.

GT42r will run you about 3k for the turbo and mounting kit...

Do you mean it would be out of its map with B-codes or the 230cc's?

Where in the world can you get the turbo and mounting for 3K? I heard DI has one but it is like $4,500.

Yeah BD as in "B" codes. The GT42R is a ball bearing turbo that is a fair bit bigger than the drop in's available. With any kind of hybrids or B codes or any injectors that are much larger than stock the drop in turbos will be out of their efficiency range. I want to say you can get just the turbo for what your budget is but you'll have to build the rest of the mounting for it and buying parts for that is probably going to cost you more than what your budget is.

Didnt say DI did I...

I know Cota has a H2e and can fab a mounting kit cheaper then 3k...

But I would rather run a Turbonetics T-60 or T-70 turbo...
