Rod Question

I read somewhere that Ford changed from a forged rod to a powdered metal rod in mid 2000. I have a 2000 F250 PSD. Is there a way (VIN #, etc.) I can tell which I have?

There is an inspection plug on the drivers side, above the oil filter head... Remove it and look in there. Your looking for a bolt, not a stud...

you should have them with a 2000...but check for sure.

you need a 5/16" square driver to take the pipe plug out. They have them at a plumbing store..
