sliencer ring?

friend has an 2001 7.3L and was wondering if it has a silencer ring in the turbo and if it does can it be removed and how hard is it?

1999 dodge 2500 24v ext cab long bed 4x4, nv4500 w/a LUK clutch, 5" straight pipe to 6" stacks, Red Oak Diesel VP44, holley black lift pump and big line kit, edge juice w/ attitude, RV275's, Modified intake horn and plate, Lock-N-Stich'd 53 Block, BHAF, no silencer, 06' 17" rims w/ 295/70/17 nitto terra grapplers.

I'm not possitive,but I think that's only a Cummins thing.

yea I'm with BigGreen and don't think the fords have a silencer ring

Judging by how much straight piped Strokers whistle, I'd be a little surprised. But its happened before.

Nope not guna have one.. if ya straight pipe it ,foil delete on the IC pipe and an intake should have plenty of wistle.. put an ATS housing on with a WW.. will sound like a pissed of 747 taking off..

The Diesel:
2001 F350 SRW extended cab long bed 7.3L 4X4, itty bitty lift, Rollin on 305/70/16's, 4inch straight pipe from turbo back, EBPV delete with Blank Garret pedestal and outlet flange, Foil Delete, CCV and Zoodad mod, SS X-over, Autometer Gages, Pyro, Boost, & Trans. DP Tuner F5, Stock,High Idle, 80eco, 80tow, 100performance, 120race, 140 aggressive/smoke... just getting started on it really, with a growing list of items for the future

The Gasser:
1979 Silverado, SNB, with late 90's stepside bed,billet step plates, 454TBI with quite Kenne Bell supercharger, Air Ride in the Front with LRD plates and cups with RE7 Slam Bags run on Nitrogen threw 3/8" SMC valves on 1/2" dot airline, 10in drop in the rear with c notch, riding on 20x9 Panther Vector's rolling on a set of 255/35/20 rubber

yeah it is only a cummins thing i was just got done working on my turbo it doesn't have one.

96 F-350 Regular cab: 5" to 6" exhaust. autometer Z series a pillar pod for gauges. Window tint.
