Overdive disengage button doesn't work

Just as the title says. It no longer works when I press the button on the shifter. The light doesn't come on either. What should I look for in order to fix it? I caught myself checking all the fuses, which all checked ok. What do ya'll think?

Mine did this and it was a broken wire that goes to the button. I just went and bought a new shifter from ford. If you take the top off of your steering colum you can see the wire where it comes down to the colum and mounts is where mine was broke. Hope this helps

It is very common for the wiring to break inside the column. The only way to fix it, other than getting a new shifter, is to try and solder them back together.

Typically you will be popping one of the fuses when this happens but not always.
