Compressor Wheel ?

Hey guys,

I have a ? about the compressor wheel in the turbo. On my last truck I bought a WW and installed it. I now have realized that 7.3's prior to 99.5, came with a compressor wheel that was the same as a WW. If I found one of the wheels out of a pre 99.5 7.3, is it possible to install in an 02 without having any problems? Would the end play be the same? Any kind of advise would be appreciated. :

On the hunt for a 7.3 preferably CC or Ext. Cab SB...Let me know of any deals.

The way I understand it is that the WW is the same thing as the gen1 wheel (94.5-99).
You shouldnt have any problems with it.

I just didn't want to get it all back together - start the truck - and stuff start shredding. I was kind of hoping someone would get on here that has done this to their truck, so I could have a little confidence in this.

I haven't pulled one out of an earlier turbo and tried to make it work but I've ordered them new for the older trucks and installed them in an SD. Reguardless you should check the end play before it goes back on the truck anyway. Should be between .001" and .004".

I am from Iberia, Mo over by the Lake of the Ozarks. Where would be the place to find one? I didn't figure they would be that high, cuz you can find a WW for almost that can't you?
