Tranny Hammer'n 2nd Gear

On my truck when i am on the chip from a stop it takes off just fine but then it kicks off to shift to 2nd then the chip comes back on and NOTHING... then a split second latter it HAMMERS 2nd gear and almost makes ya ...

Then it SLIPS into every gear after that and kicks in and out of OD while accelerating....

Got any suggestions on whats going on here.... :thanks: << In advance

See thats what ive been told to do as well... but then some people dont think it is anything Bad... (these people are not mechanics either... )

I was going to get the Factory TECH Monster Box becasue i can get a MUCH BETTER deal on it than i can with a factory Rebuild or Repaired tranny....

But i was wanting to see what some people thought was wrong with it so i might be able to have it fixxed and have it as a back up or pawn it off and pay for a little bit of that Monster Box....

It is hard to diagnosewhat is exactly wrong with the truck without driving it. The good thing for you is one of the best tranny techs in the area is less than an hour away from you.

We install John Wood Automotive rebuild and upgrade kits in Danville,IL. Just straight across the IL/IN border on I-74. You can bring it over for a diagnosis and go from there.

If you have any questions feel free to give us a call 217-304-3376.
Thanks,
Jason

Hey Hey... im over there alot.... If you drive 74 E bound from there and come into PITTSBORO, IN exit im 5 mins from it....

I race in Casey, ILL. so a drive to Danvill aint too much me...

Something else i noticed is that my fuel milage went from 18 mpg (highway at 70mph) to around 13 mpg loaded or not at the same speed when the tranny started acting up... then this weekend it went back to 17.5 mpg driving I-70 to and from Mogantown WV at 80+ mph.... but the tanny still slips and slams worse then ever....

I might be getting ahold of you guys for sure...

My trans was doing the same thing and it only lasted one day. I think if I would have taken my foot off the gas a little it probably would have lasted a bit longer. Good luck
