Anti-lock brake light

Any idea how to troubleshoot this idiot light problem? Does it throw a code that can be read?

Yes, it throws a code that can be read. A normal hand-held programmer cannot read this code, and neither will a generic OBD-II scanner that you find at the auto parts store. Something like Autoenginuity or Snap-On scanner, or taking it to a dealer/repair shop can pull the code.

I had the ABS light pop up on my truck once. It told me there was a problem with the front driver's side ABS sensor. Jacked up the truck and found that the hub bearings were toast and it took out the sensor with it. So it wasn't really an ABS problem, but rather a wheel bearing issue.

the haynes manual for the obs truck tells of a process to go through that gives you a blink code you can troubleshoot.

Hmmm, interesting variety of replies. No speedo problems (truck speedo, mine is too tight), no issue with low brake fluid..... it's been a year since I had the front end checked out, it may be something there. I'll see if the local shop has a proper code reader and go from there. Many thanks !!!
