The Best Set Of Batteries??

My motorcraft batteries have died on me after two years of use. So I was wondering what batteries would be better than the motorcrafts other than the high dollar optimas?

The autozone duralast gold are the best value. Consumer reports rated them the same (performance) as interstate but they are like 1/2 the price. I've had mine for 4 years and they are still good. They're good batteries and have a great warranty, I use 'em in everything.

I had some batteries from Advanced Auto. Biggest battery I could buy to fit. They were awesome. I even messed up and had a loose connection to where I was starting the truck with one battery only during the fall for a few weeks. Truck turned over slow...but always started. I killed them last winter when my GP relay went out. Because I was in "little town" Iowa..ended up buying very expensive Interstates :

early 99 PSD CC F250, DP Tuner F-5, Stealth Stage I, Casserly 160cc singles, Monsterbox Tranny, MBRP cool duals, ITP Regulated fuel system, Cobalts and Performax gauges, and way to much else to remember right now. **traded**

2004 Excursion Limited 6.0L, Dipricol gauges on the A-Pillar, Bilsteins and BFG's on the corners, lost EGR (not looking hard for it either), ARP studs, RCD Black Onyx head gaskets, MBRP 4" exhaust, (labor performed by Dan @ Midwest Transmission) **giggled when traded**

I run interstates whenever I can. Talk to your local interstate truck man and see if he can get you blems. For one reason or another the dealer warrenty's them bad but when they get back to the DC they are tested. they have blems that are 100% good but scratched up. in MT they are $50 for anything but the semi batteries.

i switched mine over to a set of type 31 International batteries a few years back and they've been great. had to do some modifications to the battery trays to get them to fit ( they were a little too tall ) but it was totally worth it.
