OBS Window Motor Replacement

Does anyone have tips on replacing the window motor? The rear passenger motor in my crew cab is going out. I need to replace it and was hoping someone had an article or suggestions.

remove door panel, then locate motor behind door skin. from the location of the motor you will find its mounted by 3 bolts usually 5/16 or 8mm heads. if the bolts are not visible there is usually a circular indention in the door skin where you can drill the circular indent area to access the motor bolts.

if you do not want to drill the indents for the motor bolts then you will need to knock the centers out of the rivets and drill the 1/4" rivets that mount the window regulator to the door. remove the regulator and replace the motor and re-rivet or mount the regulator. if you go back with rivets you need a big rivet gun that can handle 1/4" rivets too.

Sounds good. I will take a look this afternoon. Hoping it is not riveted...
