Manifold to Turbo Exhaust Ideas

95 7.3L. I keep having problems keeping the feeder tubes (what I call the tubes from the exhaust manifold to the turbo) sealed. I only get 40 to 30 thousand miles out of them. I replace the tube when I replace the gasket. The design just isnít that great in my opinion. Any ideas or mods anyone can think of? I have seen the newer ones have flexible portions on the tubes. Can we get these for the OBS trucks? I have seen that some Chevy gasket can be used but I donít see this fixing the problem. I hate doing this job more than once. Any and all ideas are great.

you can buy bellowed up-pipes that will fit it from international.
or you can try and make your own
I did it for an H2E so I dont know why you couldn't do it on your stock turbo.
you can probably weld the pipe to the top flange and then cut it some where in the middle and weld in a flex coupling.
I got mine from verocious motorsports just make sure you get the kind woith the interlock liner

here is how my setup looks

Ok when you both welded them have you seen any problems with the heat affecting the flexible parts? I was looking at some stock ones of off a newer ford and they looked like they could be affected by the welding heat, because of the thin metal. I could see the heat making the metal brittle. I have thought about doing this. I don't know how difficult it would be to do in the truck. It isn't the easiest area to work in to start. I guess I could just make modified ones the same as stock ones on the bench. This might be where I am going to go with this. I am guessing an exhaust brake doesn’t help the situation any.
