hot side intercooler boot ?

this weekend towing the trailer going along and all asudden the boot would blow off scared the sh t out of me and the fam tighten the clamp as tight as it would go still blew ps dont have a boost guage stock turbo superchips 1705 programmer any idea

99 psd 123000mi supechips programmer 4" magnaflow exausht.

Yep.
Take the boot completely off, and check the inside for a film of oil. Also check your pipes for oil residue inside. Clean the inside of the boot up real good, and also the outside of the pipes where the boot sits. Re install, and see about doing the CCV mod. (Re routs the CCV hose to atmosphere or to a canister then to atmosphere instead of into the air intake pipe. Keeps the oily residue out of your intercooler system.) Other than that, could be time for new boots.

"MOby" The big white bio-burning 03 7.3 4x4. 6637, straight piped stock exhaust, and a new "secret" blend of Haul asBLEEPsing mods and upgrades. Suffice to say, its still not the fastest, but its quick enough to worry lots!

Mine did it to me. Took them off and cleaned them with degreaser, been good ever since.

You can also use a shot of hairspray after you clean things up. It provides a sticky surface that aids in holding things together.
