i recently had a flush and fill done on my 02 powerstroke. i have read the posts, searched and not found an answer to my question. i refilled with rotella extended life. it is orange colored. do i have to do the additive or not. also the testing that is done. the mechanic told me it is for pH. is this correct and what should it be.

Most ELC u do not need to use the additive, but u will need to check it at a later time to determine if some needs to be added, IIRC

Agreed, look in the manual for the truck, and it will tell you the recomended fluids for your truck, the coolant bottle might even say it.

On the hunt for a 7.3 preferably CC or Ext. Cab SB...Let me know of any deals.
